Holistic Health Coaching

Written By: Kate Gugerty, C.H.H.C.

“No single food will make or break good health.  But the kinds of foods you choose day in and day out have a major impact.”

Walter Willett, M.D.,DrPH*

Kate Gugerty C.H.H.C.  is the Holistic Health Coach on the Agada Team.   As your personal coach, she can provide you with education and support that will help you integrate the principles of lifelong health and wellness into your daily life.  At the Agada Center, she works in tandem with Dr. Torregiani to enhance a patient’s ability to heal from the inside out focusing on foods.  Eating a diet rich in nutrient dense whole foods has been proven to alleviate the symptoms of illness, build immunity and promote a general sense of well-being in individuals.  Kate has coached patients who have suffered from a wide variety of health issues including infertility, menstrual pain, heart disease, weight loss and weight gain, inflammatory disease, depression and anxiety and chronic pain.

In addition to working with Dr. Torregiani, Kate has a three month Health Coaching Program that is individually tailored to each client’s physiological and practical needs.  Working with clients in one-hour sessions every two weeks gives them the tools for sustainable change that will last a lifetime.  Sustainable behavioral change takes commitment, dedication and support.  Are you ready to commit 3 months to health and wellness?

Kate helps clients deconstruct cravings, understand the relationship between food and mood, tap into the body’s ability to communicate when it is out of balance, explore emotional eating and navigate the grocery store.

Group coaching is also available; information is available upon request at The Agada Center.  Health coaching at The Agada Center has been reimbursable with most flexible spending plans; please check with your provider.

The Agada Center is committed to providing every opportunity for wellness with providers who are uniquely qualified to address the needs of “the whole person”.

*Dr. Walter Willett is the Fredrick John Stare Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition and the Chair of the Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health and a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
