Answering Service
We do not employ an answering service. If your call is a medical emergency, you should go directly to an Emergency Department or call 911 for immediate assistance, or consider calling your regular primary care physician. If you need to reach Dr. Torregiani for non-urgent matters after hours, you may leave a message on the voice mail and it will be retrieved the following morning.

If you must reach Dr. Torregiani after hours for an urgent matter requiring his input, his personal cell phone number is available on the Center's after-hours greeting.

Insurance and Payment of Fees

Payment is expected at the time a service is delivered.

At this time, Dr. Torregiani only accepts:
  • Delaware Physician’s Care
  • Unison
  • TriCare
  • Medicaid
As of January 1, 2011, we are no longer a Medicare participating provider.  Click here to see what this means for you.

We do not accept Automobile Insurance Coverage and Workman's Compensation.  Our patients pay for the visit up front and submit to their company.  We are no longer workman's compensation certified, so it is possible that you will not be covered for your visit if you elect to receive treatment from The Agada Center.

We are currently not considered an “in-network” provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of DE, Aetna, Coventry or any of the major carriers in Delaware.

While there are many reasons for this, the current economics of medical insurance reimbursement do not allow Dr. Torregiani to spend the amount of time with his patients he feels is required to evaluate and treat them adequately.  By treating mostly on a fee-for-service basis, Dr. Torregiani is able to take more time with his patients and reduce overhead involved in administrating insurance claims and thereby keep his fees as reasonable as possible.

All fee-for-service patients will be provided with a superbill outlining the services provided with the appropriate fees involved and codes required for reimbursement.  This may then be submitted by the patient to his or her insurance company for reimbursement, which will depend on the particulars of the patient’s own plan.

In addition, certain services, such as acupuncture or laser therapy, may not be covered by Medicare or other accepted plans.  In such cases, a patient may be charged an additional fee for the utilization of these services.  If such modalities are recommended by Dr. Torregiani, the patient will be notified of the potential for any additional charges, as well as the anticipated length of treatment, and the patient’s consent will be obtained before any charges will accrue for that patient.

In the future, as an added service, we hope to be able to submit superbills electronically on behalf of all of our patients, whether in-network or out, and we will be looking into whether the economic climate has made it more viable to join some of the major plans in the Delaware region.
